A Sleep Mask Sparks the Magic
While working night shifts in a busy emergency room, our founder Jennifer made a black satin sleep mask with little cat ears for a friend who loved cats. It was just for fun — but the spark had been lit. That one thoughtful gift led her to open an Etsy shop and list the mask, unsure if anyone would ever buy it.

From Handmade to High Fashion
To Jennifer’s surprise, retailers quickly took notice. She was contacted by stores like Nasty Gal and Catbird in Brooklyn, asking if she offered wholesale. She had never done wholesale before, but she said yes — and those little cat masks took off. For six years, Jennifer sewed them for Catbird, where they became a signature item. The masks were even sketched in an editorial by Blair’s and sent to Paris Fashion Week in editor gift bags.

A Sprinkle of Childhood Magic
With two daughters of her own, Jennifer began adding baby and kids’ styles to the shop — think newborn knotted gowns, birthday shirts, and tutus. The handmade charm and personalization quickly became a customer favorite and encouraged her to lean further into children’s fashion.

A Dress for Every Storybook Moment
Jennifer introduced flower girl and special occasion dresses — complete with handmade floral sashes, hair combs, and wreaths. Her custom pieces stood out for their detail and artistry, quickly becoming sought-after styles for weddings, birthdays, and unforgettable celebrations.

Family First Always
As the shop grew, Jennifer’s daughters Alexa and Maddie joined her in the studio, making the business a true mother-daughter team. Together, they launched a full website and continued to grow the brand with care, creativity, and love.

Standing Strong Through It All
The challenges of COVID-19 made supplies difficult to find, but The Little Kitten Boutique didn’t just survive — it thrived. That year, the shop became the top-selling flower girl dress store on Etsy, a reflection of both community support and deep dedication.

A New Name Joins The Family
Jennifer became a grandmother and welcomed sweet Sophia Rose — the inspiration behind the boutique’s next adventure. That same year, she launched Autumn Moon Kids Clothing, a sister brand full of magical bamboo pajamas, twirl dresses, and costumes made for imaginative childhoods.
